Hitchin receives national recognition

Each year the RFU President gives Awards in different categories for achievement in club development. This year Hitchin RFC have been given the national award for Technology for its new and innovative web site. The web site has been developed by a club member and has greatly improved team selection and notification processes and communication throughout the club. Last year’s RFU President Brian Williams attended the dinner to mark Hitchin’s achievement and present the award. The web site and team selection software is usable by any sports team and Hitchin are happy to receive enquiries from other local sports clubs interested in using the innovation. As Peter Tasko the Club Chairman says, “All local sports clubs want to achieve success on the pitch but it is also important for clubs to be well run and efficient in communicating with players and other members. Our new web site does this brilliantly and we are very proud that this fantastic piece of work by our First team prop Richard Stidolph has been recognised by the RFU as the best Technological achievement by a club in England.”
