Dear School/Club Coach,

We are looking to commence our selection process for next seasons Hertfordshire U16 rugby squad with two training sessions planned for Monday 23rd June and Tuesday 1st July at Old Albanians Rugby Club. Both sessions will commence with registration at 5.30pm and finish at 8pm.

In order to assist with the process we would seek your help in nominating players you believe have the necessary skills and physical attributes to seriously challenge for a position in the final squad. Please bear in mind that there will only be an A team and we will subsequently be only selecting a squad of approximately 30 players. You will be aware of your players that have been selected for this season U15 squad and we are happy to accept all these players for the initial training sessions. In addition to these we would only expect players whom you believe to be of the requisite level and have not competed in previous trials or were unsuccessful in previous seasons trials but have made significant improvement since then.

From these initial sessions in June and July players will be invited to a follow up skills session at the beginning of September and a subsequent trial match the following week.

Attached to this letter is a contact form. Can you please give a copy to nominated players and stress the importance of them bringing it along with them to the first session in June.

As you are no doubt aware this is a very important season for the players as it may eventually lead to selection for England for some of them.

Your assistance at this important stage is greatly appreciated to ensure the right players are chosen.
